Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the firing on a convoy of government vehicles in the Baghan area of Lower Kurram, which left six people injured, including Deputy Commissioner Javedullah Mehsud.
In a statement, the prime minister expressed concern over the incident, describing it as an attempt to disrupt the peace agreement in the region. “The enemies of peace and humanity will not be allowed to succeed,” he asserted, reaffirming the government’s commitment to combating terrorism.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also prayed for the swift recovery of all those injured in the attack, including Deputy Commissioner Mehsud.
According to the district administration, the incident injured six individuals, including three bystanders, an FC official, and a police officer, alongside the deputy commissioner.
The government and security forces are actively pursuing measures to counter terrorism and ensure peace in the region. Authorities have intensified efforts to investigate the attack and apprehend those responsible.
