Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar Challenges PTI, Accuses Leadership of Corruption

Attaullah Tarar, the federal minister for information, has questioned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) about their source of revenue for the founder. During a news conference, he inquired about how someone built a 250 million rupee property in Lahore without revealing the revenue sources.

He further said that a cabinet decision taken in a sealed envelope during the PTI’s leadership let someone gain by 80 to 90 billion rupees. After the cabinet approval, a penalty was settled, and Imran Khan allegedly earned billions of rupees.

Tarar accused PTI of making false cases against the ruling party during their tenure, adding that PTI’s leadership, including Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and Farah Gogi, are implicated in corruption. He underlined that in these concerns fairness is expected.

He further stated that while negotiations are ongoing, there should be no impression that corruption scandals, including the massive corruption involving billions of rupees, will be ignored. He stressed that corruption cases are unrelated to the ongoing negotiations.

Tarar also mentioned the ongoing 190 million pounds case in the trial court, asserting that undeniable evidence has been presented and that the accused must answer for the corruption charges.

Finally, he praised the role of the military leadership in contributing to economic stability, asserting that economic stability is closely tied to political stability.
