Prime Minister Chairs Meeting: Task Force Formed to Combat Human Trafficking

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vowed to prosecute human traffickers who he termed “humanity’s murderers.” A special task force emerged from an important Prime Minister-led meeting after Pakistanis lost their lives in a vessel used to transport illegal immigrants.

Calls from the Prime Minister led official bodies to find human trafficking networks while establishing severe legal retribution for the criminals. He ordered faster arrests of these criminal network members and tasked all participating departments headed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with breaking down the trafficking operations.

He confessed severe sadness about the incident because the loss of Pakistani people has brought profound distress to himself and the whole Pakistan nation. The Prime Minister gained updates about ongoing developments during the meeting, alongside reports about arrests and registered FIRs and a schedule of proposed actions.

Joining the meeting were Federal Ministers Khawaja Asif, Azam Nazeer Tarar, Ahsan Iqbal, and Ataullah Tarar, as well as Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi and other senior officials. This new task force serves as the implementing body for extensive human trafficking control measures that seek to prevent future cases of this type.
