LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has said that Pakistan is all set to host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He expressed the resolve that the successful conduct of the event would further strengthen the cricketing reputation of the country.
A high-level meeting was held at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore under the chairmanship of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, in which the preparations and arrangements for the Champions Trophy were reviewed in detail. The meeting deliberated on security, renovation of stadiums and facilities to be provided to the players.
Mohsin Naqvi directed to ensure world-class facilities in the stadiums and provide the best experience to the cricket fans. He said that strict security measures are being taken for foreign teams. To provide them with all possible protection.
According to a statement issued by the PCB, Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari will be the chief guest at the opening match of the Champions Trophy. While the Pakistan Air Force’s Sher-e-Dal squad will give a spectacular aerial display.
It should be noted that the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will start tomorrow in Karachi, where the opening match will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand.
