Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the official anthem of the tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be performed in the voice of renowned singer and musician Ali Zafar. Ali Zafar has performed many famous PSL anthems in the past, including 2016’s “Ab Khel Ke Dikha” and 2017’s “Ab Khel Jumega.”
The PCB has released a poster on social media showing Ali Zafar in a niqab; however, the title and other details of the anthem are yet to be announced.
Ali Zafar’s return has been met with mixed reactions in cricket and music circles. Some fans are rejoicing in his return, while some circles are stressing the need to give new artists a chance. Ali Tareen, the owner of Multan Sultans, criticized the decision, saying that there are many talented artists in Pakistan and the PSL should give a chance to new faces.
PSL 10 is scheduled to start on April 11, 2025, and will be held in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi.
