Pakistan itself a victim of terrorism: Khawaja Asif

Islamabad: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that India’s accusation against Pakistan over the Pahalgam incident is unwarranted and contrary to facts. In an interview with a private TV channel, he made it clear that Pakistan itself is most affected by terrorism, and we condemn terrorism in every corner of the world.

He said that a country that has been facing terrorism for decades, how can it promote terrorism? He said that Pakistan’s forces are fighting terrorism everywhere, and we should condemn it without any ambiguity.

Khawaja Asif clarified that the Pahalgam incident could be a possible false flag operation, which could not be ruled out. He said that India’s 700,000 troops are present in occupied Kashmir, where people are being killed, so the question should also be asked of the Indian Army what it is doing.

He called on the Indian government to investigate the incident, saying allegations alone cannot save lives. “We have not forgotten the incident of Abhinandan and are capable of giving a befitting reply to India.

The defense minister also accused India of promoting terrorism in Balochistan and other areas. He said that recently an Indian agent was arrested at the border, which seems to be similar to the Kulbhushan Jadhav case.

He said that conspirators and warmongers against the state have external support, and the Indian consulates in Afghanistan have been involved.
