PTI’s appeal to the Islamabad High Court: The cases of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi should be heard on merit

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Barrister Gowhar has said that the party will make a formal appeal to the Islamabad High Court to hear the cases of founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi on merit. Talking to the media, he said the PTI lawyers would submit a memorandum to the court in order to ensure justice.

Barrister Gohar said that the PTI demands that a meeting be arranged with Imran Khan so that legal defense and consultation can be facilitated. He said the only thing he wants from the judiciary is that all cases should be heard impartially in accordance with the law and the constitution.

The party’s leadership and members of the assembly walked peacefully from the parliament to the Islamabad High Court today. The purpose of the walk was only to send a message to the institutions that PTI will continue to raise its voice for justice and will not be a part of any political vendetta. Barrister Gohar said on the occasion that Imran Khan’s case is not just an individual’s case but a case of principles.
