Karachi: Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that India took such a step by making an excuse of terrorism, which revealed its origin to the world. In an interview with a private TV channel, Bilawal Bhutto said that Pakistan took timely and correct decisions in response to Indian aggression, which he fully supports.
He said if Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif calls an all-party conference on the issue, the PPP will fully support him. Bilawal Bhutto made it clear that Indian efforts to stop the water were tantamount to aggressive measures and would not be silenced.
The PPP chairman said that India is making an excuse of terrorism to end the Indus Waters Treaty. While the fact is that, according to the agreement, the rivers that belong to Pakistan will remain in Pakistan.
He informed them that they have put their reservations on the canal projects before the Prime Minister, and it has been agreed that no canal will be taken out without the approval of all the provinces. Bilawal Bhutto further said that some negative elements want to increase the distance between the federation and the provinces, but the PPP has always been raising its voice for the fair distribution of water, even if all other parties remain silent.
