Peace is our desire, but it should not be considered as a weakness: PM Shehbaz Sharif

Kakul: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan wants peace, but it should not be mistaken for weakness. Addressing the Passing Out Parade at PMA Kakul, he said that India has blamed Pakistan for the Pahalgam incident without any evidence, although Pakistan is ready to cooperate in an impartial investigation.
The Prime Minister made it clear that water is our lifeline and there will be no compromise on it; Pakistan will go to every extent to protect its security and sovereignty. He warned that if anyone indulges in adventurism, there will be a befitting reply like in February 2019. Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan has made huge sacrifices against terrorism, and no country in the world has paid such a heavy price against terrorism as Pakistan did.
He said that our armed forces are a symbol of unity, organization, and fulfillment of national interest and have proved their professionalism on the world stage. The Prime Minister said that Pakistan is committed to fulfilling its obligations under the UN Charter. While describing Kashmir as the lifeline of Pakistan, he called for giving the Kashmiri people the right to self-determination. Shahbaz Sharif further said that Pakistan desires peaceful and stable relations with Afghanistan, for which the Deputy Prime Minister has also visited Kabul.
