Lahore: Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider has termed the criticism of Asif Ali Zardari as immature and said that “If Zardari had not been in the President’s Office, this system would have collapsed six months ago.”
Addressing a ceremony in Lahore, he said that those who speak against Zardari should first investigate who actually took charge of the country. “Zardari did not only pursue a policy of reconciliation, but also strengthened Pakistan’s relations with a global power like China.”
He said that China also played a key role in the recent defense successes achieved by India, which is the result of Asif Zardari’s diplomatic strategy. “He made 13, 14 visits to China and expanded the strategic partnership at the national level.”
Sardar Saleem Haider also emphasized that before forming an opinion against Zardari, the public should conduct an impartial analysis of his character and services.
