Pakistan Stock Market sees sharp decline, 100 index falls 941 points

Karachi: Business at Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed sharp decline on Wednesday, resulting in heavy losses for investors.

The market witnessed volatility at the start of trading and the 100 index reached a high of 149,237 points during the day, however, the index later fell to a low of 147,337 points due to heavy selling pressure.

At the end of the trading day, the 100 index closed at 147,494 points after a major decline of 941 points. More than 850 million shares were bought and sold in today’s session, with a total value of more than Rs 29 billion.

It should be remembered that the market closed at 148,435 points yesterday.
