Farmers’ dues should be paid, rehabilitation of flood victims should be the top priority: Saad Rafique

Zafargarh: While talking to the media in Zafargarh, PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique once again openly expressed his opinion on the country’s politics and public issues. He said that politics should not be limited to slogans and parties, but the real goal is to serve the people.

According to Saad Rafique, the biggest need in the current situation is that political workers should rise above their parties and come into the field and help the affected people. He said that the flood has caused severe damage to farmers, orchards and fish farms, the government’s top priority should be to resolve them.

Speaking on the problems of farmers, he said that sugarcane farmers have not been getting the price of their hard work for many years because the sugar mill owners have taken the form of a mafia.

According to him, the farmers’ dues that have been pending for two years should be paid immediately.

Furthermore, Saad Rafique clarified that illegal constructions in the riverbed are not acceptable in any way. He said that now is the time for the government to be strict and not give concessions to anyone.
