Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that flood-affected families cannot get relief greater than Rs 10,000, the government will fully compensate for the losses of their houses and crops.

Addressing the ceremony, she said that politicians should stand with the people instead of doing politics on issues like floods. “Those whose houses were destroyed or livestock died, they need real help. It is my duty to compensate for their losses.”

The Chief Minister said that the people of South Punjab have always been developed by Nawaz Sharif and this will continue in the future as well. “I am the Chief Minister of the entire Punjab and I will have the same attitude towards everyone.”

She added that Pakistan should not always need to extend its hand to the world. “I will not extend my hand for aid but will fulfill the needs of my people myself.”
