Pakistan People’s Party’s central spokesperson Shazia Marri, while talking to the media outside the parliament, said that condemnation and regret were also expressed in the National Assembly over the statements of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. She said that leaders who sit in responsible positions change, while the PPP has always shown patience.
Shazia Marri said that we have not yet started responding to the Punjab government, we talk about unity while you are talking about hatred. She said that statements like “breaking a finger” are an attempt to destroy harmony. He further said that the Punjab government seems to be working against its own federal government.
The PPP leader said that such statements are harmful to the country at a time of challenge like floods. Water and air all belong to Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto fought the case of the Indus River at the international level. She warned that if this attitude continues, the party will not even attend the assembly meetings.
On the other hand, the spokesperson of the Punjab government, Uzma Bukhari, strongly criticized Shazia Marri and the PPP, saying that Punjab has the first right over the resources, treasures and water of Punjab. She said that the PP leaders are doing politics on the floods in Punjab by coming to the media, so the answer will also be given to the media.
Uzma Bukhari further said that the same family has been in power in Sindh for two decades, what public service achievements have been achieved there? She said that Maryam Nawaz is the Chief Minister of Punjab, she will talk about the rights of the people of Punjab and if you cannot speak in favor of Punjab while staying in Punjab, then Allah Hafiz is yours.
