Government’s important initiative, cervical cancer vaccine will now be available at all times

The Government of Pakistan has taken a major decision to protect women’s health and announced that the cervical cancer vaccine (HPV Vaccine) will be permanently provided at vaccination centers across the country.

According to sources, this vaccine will now be available free of charge at all fixed centers under the EPI (Expanded Programme on Immunization) so that girls who could not get vaccinated during the campaign can get this facility at any time.

According to officials, this vaccine will be available at 3616 government and 140 private centers in Punjab, 1318 government and 225 private centers in Sindh, 358 government centers in Azad Kashmir and 45 government and 4 private centers in Islamabad.

The Health Department says that the supply of the vaccine at fixed centers will continue for an indefinite period so that as many girls as possible can be provided with the facility of cervical cancer prevention.

It should be noted that Pakistan’s first HPV vaccination campaign was conducted from September 15 to 27, while today is the last day of its expansion phase.
