Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that a ray of hope has now begun to appear regarding Gaza, and the ongoing public reaction around the world is proving to be a new turn in favor of Palestine. He said that in a few days, the final status of the issues related to Gaza will become clear and the long struggle and sacrifices of the Palestinian people will bear fruit.
Khawaja Asif told the media that “when the state of Palestine is established, many things will automatically become right. No other nation in the history of the world has made sacrifices like the Palestinians.”
He added that the protests taking place around the world are a clear message that now is the time to ensure the establishment of an independent Palestine.
Speaking on the situation in the region, the Defense Minister said that India had undertaken a dangerous adventure in the past, which resulted in humiliation. According to him, Pakistan achieved success in the “first episode” of that war, and if India makes any move again, it will have to face even greater humiliation than in the past.
Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan has the ability to make a lesson to the enemy on any front, and the country’s defense preparedness is complete. He reminded that Pakistan had achieved a bold victory on the Run of Kutch front 60 years ago, and even today, the Pakistani armed forces are filled with the same spirit.
He said that the world needs to understand that peace in the region is possible only with a just solution to the Palestinian issue, and Pakistan always stands with the oppressed Palestinian people.
