PTCL Announcement: Internet service may be affected due to repair of submarine cable

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has informed its customers that there may be slowdown or partial disruption in internet service during the repair of the international submarine cable.

According to a PTCL spokesperson, the International Cable Consortium has issued a schedule for the repair of the repeater device installed in the cable. The repair work will begin at 11 am on October 14 and is expected to last for about 18 hours.

The spokesperson further said that PTCL’s technical team has made alternative arrangements so that customers face minimal difficulties. However, internet speed may be affected in some areas.

The company has appealed to customers for cooperation and said that full restoration information will be provided after the service returns to normal.
