Increase in wages of workers, new rates for skilled and unskilled workers issued

Good news for the labor class in the provincial capital Lahore, the Punjab government has issued a new notification increasing wages. According to a statement issued by Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza, the salaries of both skilled and unskilled workers have been increased to reduce the effects of rising inflation.

According to the notification, the daily wage of unskilled workers has been fixed at Rs 1,538 and the monthly salary at Rs 40,000. The daily wage for semi-skilled workers is Rs 1,558 and the monthly salary is Rs 43,108, while the daily wage for skilled workers is Rs 1,975 and the monthly salary is Rs 45,945.

The Deputy Commissioner has directed all government and private institutions to ensure immediate implementation of the new wage system. According to officials, this step has been taken to protect the working class from economic pressure and improve their quality of life.

Economists say that this increase in wages will bring relief to the workers and create stability in the economy.
