President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hold important meeting at the Presidential Palace

A detailed meeting was held between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Zardari at the Presidential Palace. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Rana Sanaullah, Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Azam Nazir Tarar, Saleem Mandviwala, Sherry Rehman and Nayyar Hussain Bukhari were also present on the occasion.

Matters of national importance and the current political and security situation were reviewed in the meeting. The two leaders also discussed regional and global challenges facing Pakistan’s strategic economic interests.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif briefed President Asif Zardari on his recent visits to Egypt and Malaysia and informed him of his discussions with world leaders regarding peace efforts in Gaza.

In the one-on-one meeting, the two leaders agreed to continue consultations on the overall direction of government policies and important national priorities.
