Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has announced that the repair work of the repeater installed in the submarine cable has been completed and international connectivity has been restored.
According to a PTCL statement, the international cable consortium had started the repair work on the morning of October 14, and after the complete repair, the speed and connectivity of internet service across the country have returned to normal.
During this operation, users had faced slow internet and connectivity issues for some time, for which PTCL apologized.
The submarine cable system is a key part of Pakistan’s international internet connection, and its restoration will restore the necessary facilities for online business, educational transactions and the flow of global data traffic.
