Political contacts between Pakistan’s two major political parties, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Muslim League (N), have been restored once again.
According to sources, an important meeting of the negotiation committees of the two parties is underway at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is being chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. The meeting is being discussed in detail on the current political situation in the country and future political cooperation.
The PPP delegation includes Raja Pervez Ashraf, Sherry Rehman and Nadeem Afzal Chan, while the Muslim League (N) is represented by Malik Ahmed Khan, Ahad Cheema and Rana Sanaullah.
Sources have said that in the context of this important development, a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is also expected.
According to sources, in the expected meeting, the two leaders will discuss important political issues, mutual cooperation and future strategy, so that a future course of action can be decided at the parliamentary and government levels.
