The modern smog guns technology introduced to control air pollution in Punjab has started giving effective results. According to the spokesperson of the Environmental Protection Force, a significant reduction in air pollution has been recorded in Kahna due to the use of smog guns.
The spokesperson said that under this project, the air quality index has come down from 666 to 170, which is a big success. This was the first experiment of formal use of smog guns in the province, which proved to be completely successful.
According to officials, this initiative has seen a reduction of about 70% in air pollution. Experts say that if the same technology is used in other affected areas, further improvement in air quality is possible.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz congratulated the team of the Environmental Protection Force on the successful experiment and said that Alhamdulillah, Punjab is at the forefront of the country in public service and use of modern technology.
