The Passport Department has taken an important step for Pakistani citizens by introducing modern security features in new passports. The aim of this development is to make passports more secure and attractive as per international standards.
According to the Passport Department, now the name of the mother along with the father of the citizen will be included in the new passports, which is being termed as a welcome move. In addition, historical and cultural buildings of all four provinces of Pakistan will be printed on the visa pages to highlight the beauty and heritage of Pakistan around the world.
According to the spokesperson, after the approval of the Ministry of Interior, the printing of new passport booklets has started, and all changes are being made under the principles of modern technology and harmony. However, apart from the security features, no changes have been made in other parts of the passport.
The Passport Department says that this step will further strengthen the confidence of citizens and secure their identity during international travel in accordance with modern requirements.
