Decision on in-house change in Azad Kashmir upheld, PPP ready to form government

The decision on in-house change in Azad Kashmir has been upheld in an important meeting held at the Presidential Palace in Islamabad. The meeting was chaired by President Asif Ali Zardari, while the parliamentary leadership of the PPP Azad Kashmir attended.

PPP leaders say that the PPP is going to form its own government in Azad Kashmir, and the President has also given its formal approval. It is being said that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will formally announce government formation on Monday.

According to sources, the names of Chaudhry Latif Akbar and Chaudhry Yasin are being considered for the post of Prime Minister. The party claims that if the current Prime Minister does not resign, the numbers required for a no-confidence motion are complete.

The statement from the Presidency said that the party leaders discussed issues related to the party’s role in the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Faryal Talpur and other senior leaders also participated in the meeting.

According to parliamentary leader Chaudhry Yasin, detailed consultations were held in the meeting, and the decision to form the government has been finalised. He said that the party leadership will announce the name of the new prime minister soon.
