In the context of the latest political situation in the country, Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held an important meeting with JUI-F ameer Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence. The two leaders discussed in detail the country’s political affairs, the law and order situation, and especially the political changes in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to PPP sources, Bilawal Bhutto took Maulana Fazlur Rehman into confidence on the recent political situation in Azad Kashmir and consulted on the future course of action. The situations of Afghanistan and Palestine were also discussed in the meeting. Maulana once again emphasized resolving the Afghanistan issue through talks.
Sources say that Bilawal Bhutto also assured the president of conveying Maulana’s concerns and suggestions. The consultation also discussed strengthening the working relationship between parliament and the National Assembly and the Senate, while views were also exchanged on the expected legislation.
Later, Maulana Fazlur Rehman told reporters in an informal conversation that if the talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan move forward on a serious basis, he is ready to play a positive role. He said that differences have their place, but we do not want to hinder the country’s interests because Pak-Afghan tension is not in anyone’s favor.
