According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hosted a dinner in honor of senators of coalition parties and federal ministers, in which leaders of various political parties are expected to participate.
Sources say that Awami National Party (ANP) Senator Arbab Umar Farooq and Senator Haji Hidayatullah will also attend the dinner.
The government had requested ANP representatives to attend the dinner so that consultations could be held on the government’s position on the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will formally request members of coalition parties to support the amendment bill during the dinner.
Moreover, the Prime Minister has also invited senators from the coalition parties to breakfast tomorrow morning, where the final strategy on the amendment bill is likely to be decided.
