Tolerance is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of wisdom: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharief

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said in his special message on the occasion of International Tolerance Day that Pakistan has always been committed to the respect of the international community and high human principles such as tolerance and tolerance. He said that this day reminds us that tolerance is not a weak attitude but a sign of wisdom, understanding and strong moral character.

The Prime Minister said that Islam has always taught tolerance, respect and justice, while international laws also emphasise the protection of basic human values. He said that the social beauty of Pakistan lies in its cultural and linguistic diversity, and the Constitution of Pakistan provides equality and complete protection to every citizen.

In his message, he further said that the promotion of interfaith harmony, tolerance and mutual respect is the responsibility of every citizen. The government is implementing an effective strategy for religious harmony under this objective. The Prime Minister also expressed his resolve on this occasion that the approval of the Minorities Rights Bill 2025 will further strengthen social peace, tolerance and national unity.

Stressing the need to make tolerance, honor and respect an integral part of the national, religious and cultural tradition in the country, the Prime Minister said that today we should once again reiterate this resolve to play a role at every level to make Pakistan a harmonious, tolerant and united society.
