Information Minister Atta Ullah Tarar has said that doors should always be kept open in the political process because no system can move forward without dialogue. Talking to the media, he said that boycotting is the biggest mistake in politics, because when a party keeps itself out of the process, the objection raised later has no weight. According to him, positive behavior and dialogue are the only sustainable solutions to problems.
Atta Tarar said that Pakistan’s IT exports have increased significantly and digital media has played a vital role in this development. He said that in today’s era, digital platforms are an important means of conveying the national narrative to the world, and the government is working on new policies and modern tools to strengthen this sector.
The Information Minister said that, like newspapers and TV, digital media is also effective in highlighting Pakistan’s positive image, especially at a time when information warfare is going on globally. According to him, strong digital platforms are necessary to respond to the enemy in his own language, and a coordinated strategy is being formulated to prevent fake news.
He said that the first Digital Communication Department was established during the war, while Azerbaijan has shown interest in receiving digital media training from Pakistan. Atta Tarar said that the D8 Information Ministers have also appreciated Pakistan’s stance.
