IG Punjab’s strict action — Zero tolerance policy against tinted windows and vehicles without number plates

Punjab Police has launched a vigorous campaign to strictly implement traffic laws in the province. A spokesperson for Punjab Police says that the IG Punjab has ordered immediate and strict action against violations of tinted windows, vehicles without number plates and motorcycles.

According to the spokesperson, traffic laws will be equally applicable not only to ordinary citizens but also to police officers and officials. No leniency or concession will be given in this regard.

Punjab Police clarified that if any violation is found, the concerned SHO, in-charge, district officer or unit head will be directly responsible. Not only will a report be prepared against them, but departmental action will also be taken in case of violation of the law.

The spokesperson said that the aim of this decision is to improve the traffic system and ensure the rule of law.
