The ISPR has confirmed that the Field General Court Martial proceedings against Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hameed have concluded and the accused has been found guilty of several serious charges.

According to the ISPR, Faiz Hameed was found guilty of charges such as interference in political activities, violation of laws related to sensitive information, misuse of government resources and causing unlawful harm to certain individuals.

According to the spokesperson, the proceedings began on August 12, 2024 and continued for 15 months, in which evidence, testimonies and records were thoroughly reviewed. The sentence was formally implemented on December 11, 2025. The spokesperson further said that the accused has full right to appeal while other aspects of political and illegal activities are being considered separately. According to the ISPR, the accountability system within the army is working in a transparent, strong and impartial manner and no one is above the law.
