IMF releases $1.2 billion tranche to Pakistan

In positive financial news for Pakistan, the IMF has transferred $1.2 billion to Pakistan under a loan program. The State Bank of Pakistan has confirmed that the entire amount has been received in the government account, which will provide immediate support to foreign exchange reserves.

According to the State Bank, $200 million of the amount released has been provided to help deal with the effects of climate change, which is being considered as an important support for Pakistan’s environmental projects.

Experts believe that after the release of the tranche by the IMF, confidence in the financial market will increase and the pressure on import payments will also decrease, while the government intends to use this money for economic stability.
