PM Shehbaz Urges Strong Economic & Trade Partnership Between Pakistan and Kuwait

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stressed the need to transform the long-standing friendly relations between Pakistan and Kuwait into strong economic cooperation and said that in the current global situation, only economic partnership can guarantee development and stability, therefore, both countries will have to move towards practical steps in the fields of trade and investment.
Addressing a ceremony, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan and Kuwait have decades-old brotherly and trust-based relations, which are based on mutual respect and common interests. However, he clarified that now, instead of limiting these relations to the diplomatic level, it is the most important need of the hour to expand them to the economic field as well.
The Prime Minister said that there are numerous opportunities between the two countries in investment, bilateral trade, energy, infrastructure and other economic sectors, which can be fully exploited. He said that Pakistan is providing a conducive environment, easy policies and secure business opportunities to foreign investors and special facilities will be provided to Kuwaiti investors.
He added that economic cooperation will not only strengthen the economies of both countries but will also lead to increased employment opportunities, industrial development and public prosperity. According to him, mutual investment projects can open new doors for stability and development in the region.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while reiterating his commitment to maintain close ties with the Kuwaiti leadership and continue cooperation to achieve common goals, said that Pakistan is ready to expand partnership with Kuwait at all levels.
Economic experts say that strong economic ties with Gulf countries can be a source of foreign exchange earnings, expansion of exports and new investment for Pakistan, which will prove to be very important for the improvement of the country’s economy.
