Khawaja Asif announces support for Iran, appeals to people to remain peaceful

Islamabad: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that Pakistan has supported Iran in every possible diplomatic and moral way and the attack against Iran has also been clearly condemned in the United Nations.

In a statement, he said that Pakistan wants peace and stability in the region and does not consider aggression against any country to be right.


Khawaja Asif said that the current situation is sensitive and it is necessary to show wisdom and restraint at such times instead of emotional reactions. He appealed to the religious parties and the people of Pakistan to act with patience and tolerance and avoid any kind of provocative action. 

According to him, it is the responsibility of all of us to prioritize national interest and not take any steps that will create unrest within the country.


The Defense Minister said that protest is the right of every citizen but it should be completely peaceful. He warned that any kind of vandalism, rioting or damage to state property will not be in the interest of the country.

He said that at this time, national unity and stability are the real strength of Pakistan and the entire nation needs to remain united so that any external or internal challenge can be effectively faced.
