Sindh Government announces closure of schools and colleges on Youm E Ali (R.A)

The Sindh Education Department has announced a holiday in educational institutions across the province on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali. A formal notification has been issued in this regard, which also makes the date of the holiday clear.
According to the notification, government and private educational institutions across Sindh will remain closed on March 11, 2026. This holiday is being given on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali on the occasion of 21st Ramadan.
According to the schedule issued by the Sindh government, teaching activities in schools and colleges will be suspended on this day and students will be given a holiday.
Youm-e-Ali is an important day in Islamic history which is celebrated by Muslims with devotion and respect. Majalis, processions and other religious events are organized in different cities on this day.
Government officials say that the purpose of giving a holiday on this day is to facilitate the public to participate in religious activities. Apart from this, security agencies also make special arrangements on this day to maintain law and order.
The administrators of educational institutions have been directed to ensure implementation of the holiday as per the government notification.
Education circles say that such holidays provide an opportunity for students and teachers to participate in ceremonies on religious occasions according to their beliefs.
