As the month of Ramadan closed, the provincial capital is buzzing with preparations for Eid-ul-Fitr 2026.
To facilitate the faithful, administrations of major mosques and Eidgahs across Lahore have announced their respective schedules for Eid prayers, with gatherings expected to draw hundreds of thousands of worshippers.
According to the official schedule, the largest congregation in the city will take place at the historic Badshahi Mosque, where prayers are set to be offered at 08:30 AM. For those residing near the city center, the Data Darbar (Jamia Mosque) will host its Eid prayer at 07:30 AM.
In the suburban areas, the Grand Jamia Mosque in Bahria Town, known for its stunning architecture, has scheduled its prayer early at 07:15 AM. Other prominent locations including Jamia Ashrafia on Ferozepur Road and Jamia Mosque Mansoorah on Multan Road will both hold their congregations at 07:30 AM.
Residents of Model Town can offer their prayers at the central Eidgah at 07:00 AM, while a massive open-air gathering is expected at Minar-e-Pakistan (Greater Iqbal Park) at 08:00 AM.
The City District Government has put strict security measures in place to ensure the safety of the citizens.
Heavy police contingents will be deployed at all major venues, and walkthrough gates will be installed at the entrances of sensitive locations.
Citizens are advised to reach their respective prayer grounds at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time to avoid any inconvenience during security checks.
