Iranian Foreign Minister’s slogan ‘Long live Pakistan’ and special permits issued to aid ships

A major breakthrough has been made in diplomatic relations between Tehran and Islamabad. According to Iranian media, the government has issued special permits to ships carrying humanitarian aid and basic necessities, which has raised hopes of restoring the suspended supply chain in the Gulf of Oman.

Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has responded positively to the recent statement of his Iranian counterpart. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi rejected the impression of the American media that Iran does not want to hold talks with Pakistan. He clarified that Iran is committed to lasting peace and recognises Pakistan’s efforts. Abbas Araqchi’s “Long Live Pakistan” slogan on social media has become a symbol of growing harmony between the two countries. However, he warned the international community that any attack on sensitive installations could jeopardise the peace of the entire region.
