Iran Says US Yet to Build Trust After Talks, Qalibaf Issues Clear Message

Despite the ongoing talks between Iran and the US, a crisis of trust persists, which was expressed by Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf in his recent statement.

He said that the US has understood Iran’s principled position, however, trust could not be established due to lack of practical steps.

Qalibaf appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts and said that Iran played a positive role in the talks and also presented important suggestions for the future.

He clarified that now the responsibility lies with the US to take serious steps to gain Iran’s trust.

According to analysts, this statement is an important signal in the ongoing diplomatic process between the two countries, which could determine the direction of future talks.
