Iran Calls for Practical Steps Instead of Political Statements

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has clarified his stance on the ongoing diplomatic talks, saying that the success of the talks is not limited to talks alone, but depends on the extent to which the points included in the agreements are implemented.

In a statement released on the social media platform X, President Pezeshkian said that the full implementation of the obligations agreed upon during the talks should be the criterion for real progress. According to him, if the parties implement the obligations they have accepted, the talks can move towards positive results.

He clarified that building trust is a fundamental element in international diplomacy and trust is strengthened only when agreements and promises are implemented. He said that the desired results cannot be achieved through mere declarations or statements.

According to the Iranian president, the parties involved in the talks should focus on the issues that have been formally agreed upon. He warned that statements or additional political positions that deviate from the negotiating text can sometimes affect the actual process and slow down the pace of progress.

According to political observers, President Pezeshkian statement is actually a reminder of the basic principles of the negotiation process. These principles include transparency, mutual respect, responsibility, and adherence to agreements. Experts say that successful negotiations at the global level always proceed on this basis.

The ongoing diplomatic activities in Switzerland are being described as important in the context of the overall situation in the region. According to observers, contacts and discussions between different parties can create the possibility of reducing tensions and improving relations in the future, but practical steps are indispensable for this.

In his statement, the Iranian president emphasized that the results of the negotiations should be evaluated not on the basis of words or declarations, but on the basis of practical performance. He said that if one party does not fulfill its obligations, the confidence-building process can be affected.

Analysts believe that Iran’s recent stance reflects the principle of diplomacy that lasting and effective agreements only succeed if they are implemented with consistency. According to them, the main focus in the current negotiations also needs to be on implementation, transparency and measurable progress.

President Masoud Pezeshkian’s recent remarks are being seen as an important message for the negotiation process, in which he made it clear that future progress will depend on fulfilling promises, upholding agreed responsibilities and taking practical steps.
