PM Shehbaz, Qatari Emir Discuss Progress in Switzerland Talks Between US and Iran

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed the progress in the ongoing diplomatic process between the US and Iran over the phone on Wednesday and agreed that efforts to resolve issues through dialogue should continue.

The Prime Minister said in his statement after the conversation that the two leaders expressed satisfaction over the progress made in the initial technical talks held in Switzerland. According to him, in the current circumstances, continuous dialogue and diplomacy are the only way to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region.

The Prime Minister appreciated the facilities and cooperation provided by the Qatari government to the Pakistani community living in Qatar. He said that the relations between Pakistan and Qatar are based on mutual respect, trust and common interests.
