Tehran: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has taken a tough stance after the martyrdom of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, saying that bringing the elements responsible for this incident to justice will remain Iran’s top priority. The Iranian leadership says that this matter will not be forgotten with the passage of time, and Iran will maintain its stance on it.
Revolutionary Guards Chief Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said in his statement that the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is an important and painful chapter in Iran’s history, which can never be forgotten. According to him, Iran will continue its efforts at the legal and political levels against the individuals and institutions responsible for this incident.
General Ahmad Vahidi strongly criticised the United States and Israel, saying that Iran considers both countries responsible for the incident. He claimed that the responsible elements should be held accountable according to the demands of justice and that Iran will not back down from this demand.
He added that according to Iran, the purpose of the incident was to demoralise the resistance forces, but such measures will not reduce the resolve of Iran or its allies. According to him, the sacrifices of the martyrs will remain an important part of Iran’s national policy and its position in the region.
According to analysts, the latest statements by Iranian officials have come at a time when tensions in the Middle East have already increased and various regional conflicts have become the centre of global attention. Experts say that such statements can affect the diplomatic and security situation in the region, while the international community is constantly emphasising tolerance and a reduction in tensions.
