Operation Shaban intensifies in Balochistan: 9 more terrorists killed in security forces operations; total toll reaches 52

Operation Shaban

Further progress has been made in the ongoing joint security operations against terrorism in different areas of Balochistan, where security forces claimed to have killed 9 terrorists during the latest operation.

According to security sources, joint forces comprising the Pakistan Army, FC Balochistan and police are continuously conducting operations in various sensitive areas of the province under “Operation Shaaban”. The aim of these operations is to eliminate elements who are involved in planning to target security forces and the civilian population.

Sources say that in the recent operation, based on intelligence information, several difficult mountainous areas and remote routes were targeted, where there were reports of the presence of terrorists. During the operation, aerial surveillance and ground forces completed the operation in a coordinated manner, as a result of which 9 terrorists were killed.

According to official sources, the total number of terrorists killed since the start of Operation Shaaban has reached 52, while a total of 88 terrorists have been claimed to have been killed in various intelligence-based operations since July 5.

Security officials say that operations will continue continuously to eliminate the safe havens and movement routes of terrorists in Balochistan. According to officials, the aim is not only to eliminate immediate threats but also to disable networks that could pose a threat to peace and order in the future.

According to experts, the geographical complexity and difficult terrain of Balochistan make security operations challenging, but improved coordination and intelligence sharing between joint forces have played a significant role in the effectiveness of recent operations.

On the other hand, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the Pakistan Army, FC Balochistan and the police on the successful operation and said that the security forces demonstrated professionalism and courage and foiled the plans of the terrorists. He said that the state will continue operations against elements active against peace and stability, and all possible support will be provided to the efforts of law enforcement agencies.

Security sources say that joint operations will continue until peace is restored in the province and terrorism is completely eradicated, while the scope of surveillance and search operations in sensitive areas is also being further expanded.
