Anti-Pakistan statements unacceptable: Atta Tarar

Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has reacted strongly to Noreen Niazi’s recent statement, saying that there is great concern and anger among the public over it. According to him, such statements are inexcusable, and there is no scope for any leniency in this regard.

Addressing a function in Lahore, the federal minister said that some political leaders are taking such positions to advance personal and family politics, which creates unnecessary controversy on national issues. He claimed that such statements are broadcast prominently in foreign media, especially Indian media, which tries to damage Pakistan’s position.

Attaullah Tarar also criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, saying that the party is suffering from internal differences and political divisions between its different factions are clearly visible. He said that in the current situation, the party is adopting different narratives to divert attention from its political problems.

He also questioned the performance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and said that the provincial government is not paying the required attention to solving the problems of the people. According to him, despite the challenges faced by the people, the government’s priorities seem to be different.

On the other hand, while addressing the election campaign regarding the reserved seats for refugees in Azad Kashmir, the federal minister said that the seats reserved for refugees are a symbol of their democratic and constitutional rights. He said that any attempt to abolish or limit these seats cannot be supported, as it will affect the political representation of Kashmiri refugees.

Attaullah Tarar said that the PML-N believes in the politics of public service and will continue its support for the protection of the rights of Kashmiri refugees. He also expressed his determination that the party will maintain its stance regarding the representation of refugees and their constitutional rights.

According to political observers, the recent statements have sparked a new debate in domestic politics, while the possibility of further reactions from various political parties on the issue is also being expressed.
