Iranian Army Ready to Deal with All Kinds of Threats

The Iranian Army, while presenting a fresh stance on its defence preparedness and military capability, has said that the armed forces are always ready to protect the country’s security and are continuously improving their professional capabilities in accordance with changing security requirements.

Iranian Army Spokesperson Brigadier General Mohammad Akramian said in a statement that the army’s focus is on modern defence systems, operational readiness and effective use of local resources. According to him, to strengthen self-reliance in the defence sector, modern military equipment produced at the national level is being made a part of the army in stages.

He said that weapons, defence equipment and other military resources are being organised according to operational requirements so that the readiness and response capacity of the armed forces in different situations is effectively maintained.

According to defence observers, various countries of the world are focusing on modernising their defence strategies over time, while Iran has also been calling expanding the local defence industry and increasing military capacity an important part of its policy.

The official statement did not mention any specific country or recent incident; however, the spokesperson emphasised that the main goal of the army is to be ready at all times to protect national security and keep the defence system in line with modern requirements. This stance has come at a time when the overall security situation in the region is being continuously monitored at the global level, due to which statements related to defence readiness are being given importance.
