Amidst speculations regarding the political position of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Barrister Gauhar has clarified the party’s position.
Barrister Gauhar has said that the founder PTI has not given any message or instruction to remove Sohail Afridi from the post of Chief Minister. According to him, Sohail Afridi has the full trust of the founder PTI.
The Chairman PTI clarified that the party leadership and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly members are also standing with the Chief Minister. He also clarified the speculations of differences in the party while rejecting the news about the change of the Chief Minister or any new name.
This statement has come at a time when various reports were circulating about the political situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sohail Afridi’s leadership. According to Barrister Gauhar, no instructions were given by the founder PTI regarding the removal of the Chief Minister.
Barrister Gauhar, while talking about the overall political situation of the country, said that instead of increasing political tension further in the current situation, efforts should be made for improvement.
He said that all political forces should play their role to improve the situation. According to him, the party leadership is also making efforts to prevent the situation from worsening.
The clarification of the party leadership on the issue of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has also clarified the direction of the ongoing speculations regarding Sohail Afridi’s position.
