The price of gold in Pakistan has once again recorded a decrease, after which the price per tola has come down to Rs 4 lakh 36 thousand 336. With the fall in the value of gold in the global market, the prices in the local exchange market also fell. This shift has focused the attention of jewelry buyers and gold investors on fresh rates.
According to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold fell by Rs 4,300 per tola. Similarly, 10 grams of gold started selling at Rs 3 lakh 74 thousand 87 after becoming cheaper by Rs 3,687.
The price of gold also fell in the international market. Globally, gold fell $43 to $4,138 an ounce. This change in global and local market prices shows the importance that international rates have for Pakistan’s foreign exchange market.
A day before the recent drop in prices, the opposite trend was seen in the market. Yesterday, gold rose by Rs 2,000 per tola. Fresh declines have pushed prices back down after the rally.
The constant fluctuation in gold prices comes at a time when purchasing jewelry has become a major financial decision for buyers. A price difference of even a few thousand rupees can significantly affect the overall cost of buying a large piece of jewelry.
However, a one-day decline cannot be considered as an indication of a permanent decline in prices. Future changes in gold prices in the global market and trends in the local exchange market will determine the price direction in the coming days.
