Interbank Currency Exchange Rates in Pakistan Today – 03 July 2026

The Pakistani rupee is showing limited movement against the US dollar, with interbank and open market rates remaining relatively close. The latest buying and selling rates are being monitored by businesses, banks, importers and overseas Pakistanis.

In the interbank market, the dollar is being quoted at Rs 276.85 for buying and Rs 277.35 for selling. These rates are being used by banks for foreign exchange transactions, trade payments and other international financial dealings.

In the open market, the dollar is being bought at Rs 277.50 and sold at Rs 280.25. Exchange companies are quoting slightly different rates depending on market conditions and location.

The rupee’s performance is being influenced by import demand, export earnings, remittances, external debt payments and the availability of foreign currency. Movements in international markets are also affecting demand for the dollar.

Importers are closely tracking exchange rates because machinery, fuel and industrial raw materials are often purchased in foreign currencies. An increase in the dollar rate can raise import costs, putting additional pressure on businesses and potentially affecting consumer prices.

Overseas Pakistanis are also monitoring the exchange rate because it determines the rupee value of remittances sent to families in Pakistan. However, the purchasing power of these transfers is also being affected by inflation and household expenses.

Remittance inflows, export performance, import payments and external financing are expected to remain important factors shaping the currency market.
