Gold prices in Pakistan remained near Rs 439,000 per tola on Monday, keeping the precious metal at an elevated level for local buyers amid fluctuations in international markets.
According to rates attributed to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 24-karat gold was priced at Rs 439,036 per tola, while the rate for 10 grams stood at Rs 376,402.
In the international market, gold was quoted at $4,165 per ounce. Global prices, currency movements and domestic market conditions are among the factors that influence gold rates in Pakistan.
Gold prices have experienced fluctuations in recent sessions, reflecting changing international market conditions. Investors commonly monitor the US dollar, interest rate expectations and geopolitical developments when assessing the outlook for the precious metal.
For consumers, movements in the benchmark rate can affect the cost of jewelery and other gold purchases. However, the final price charged by jewellers may vary according to purity, making charges, and local market conditions.
Buyers are advised to confirm the latest rates with their local Sarafa market before making a purchase, as prices can change during subsequent trading sessions.
