The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a bullish close on Tuesday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index up 1,428 points to close at 164,467 points.
According to official market data, the index closed at 163,038.47 points in the previous trading session. After Tuesday’s increase, the market crossed the 164,000-point mark again.
About 402 million shares were traded in the stock market, with a total value of about Rs 18.07 billion.
During this period, the total value of the market also recorded an increase. The market capitalisation increased by Rs 153 billion to Rs 18,214 billion, which was Rs 18,061 billion in the previous session.
This development in the stock market came with investor buying and an increase in share prices in various sectors. However, a one-day improvement in the index cannot be considered a definitive sign of the future trend of the market.
