Karachi: The price of gold in Pakistan rose significantly today, with a jump of Rs. 1,000 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs. 276,000.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs. 857 and currently stands at Rs. 236,625.
In the international market, gold prices also rose by $10 per ounce, hitting a record high of $2,642 per ounce.
Market analysts credit the surge in gold prices to swings in global demand and the continued devaluation of the local currency, both of which continue to have an influence on the precious metals markets. Investors are closely monitoring both local and foreign variables impacting gold rates.
