PSX Drops for the Second Time in a Row

Karachi: For two days in a row, PSX lost value with its main market index, KSE-100, decreasing by 1,598 points. The KSE-100 Index ended at 113,443 points, showing a big decrease compared to earlier trading days.

The index moved from its lowest point of 113,359 points to its highest point of 115,255 points during typical trading hours. Profit and loss involved 743.6 million shares changing hands with a total transaction value reaching Rs. 35.24 billion.

Trading volume throughout the day was extremely high, having traded 743.6 million shares. As a result, the stock market’s market capitalization value decreased by Rs. 213 billion, closing at Rs. 14,002 billion. Traders became more careful due to worldwide economic worries and market patterns, according to analysts, leading to the sharp index drop.
